Mobile Pet Grooming – Terms & Conditions & Consent
By proceeding with the grooming appointment and ticking the consent box below, I confirm that I have
read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Pet Health & Medical Conditions
I confirm that my pet is, to the best of my knowledge, fit and healthy enough to undergo grooming.
I have disclosed any known medical conditions, injuries, allergies, skin conditions, infections,
recent surgeries, medications, or other health concerns that may affect the grooming process.
I understand that grooming may expose previously unnoticed health, skin, ear, nail, or other conditions.
The groomer may stop or modify the service if they believe continuing could put the pet's health or safety at risk.
2. Pet Behaviour & Handling
I confirm that I have disclosed any known aggressive, fearful, anxious, nervous, or difficult behaviour.
I understand that pets may react unpredictably during grooming and that reasonable restraint and
handling may be required for their safety.
If a pet's behaviour presents a significant risk to the pet, groomer, or others, the groomer may stop
the grooming service.
3. Grooming Risks
I understand that grooming involves certain unavoidable risks, including but not limited to:
- Minor cuts, scratches, irritation, or skin sensitivity
- Nail or paw injuries
- Accidental nicks or clipper irritation
- Stress, anxiety, or temporary behavioural changes
- Aggravation of existing skin or health conditions
- Injury caused by sudden movement or resistance
- Potential complications associated with severely matted or neglected coats
I understand that extra care will be taken to minimise these risks, but they cannot always be completely eliminated.
4. Matted or Severely Tangled Coats
I understand that removing severe matting may require clipping the coat very short and may reveal
pre-existing skin irritation, wounds, infections, bruising, or other conditions.
I authorise the groomer to use the grooming method they consider reasonably necessary to safely remove severe matting.
5. Grooming Results
I understand that grooming results may vary depending on the pet's coat condition, coat type, behaviour,
matting, skin condition, and previous grooming history.
The groomer will make reasonable efforts to provide the requested service, but an exact style or
appearance cannot always be guaranteed.
6. Right to Stop or Refuse Service
The groomer reserves the right to stop, modify, or refuse the grooming service if:
- The pet becomes excessively stressed or distressed.
- The pet's behaviour creates a safety risk.
- The pet has a medical or physical condition that makes grooming unsafe.
- The condition of the coat or skin requires veterinary attention.
- Continuing the service may cause injury to the pet or groomer.
In such circumstances, the customer may still be charged for work already completed or time spent, where applicable.
7. Emergency Treatment
If an emergency occurs during grooming and the customer cannot be contacted immediately, I authorise
the groomer to take reasonable steps to protect the pet's safety, including seeking veterinary assistance
where reasonably necessary.
Any veterinary, transportation, or other third-party costs resulting from an emergency will be the
responsibility of the pet owner.
8. Customer Responsibility
I confirm that the information I have provided about my pet is accurate and complete.
I understand that failure to disclose relevant medical or behavioural information may increase the risk
of injury or complications during grooming.
I am responsible for informing the groomer of any changes to my pet's health or behaviour before each appointment.
9. Existing Conditions
I understand that the groomer is not a veterinarian and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
If a concerning condition is identified during grooming, I may be advised to seek veterinary attention.
10. Consent
By ticking the consent box, I confirm that:
- I am the pet owner or authorised to give consent for the pet.
- I have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
- I have disclosed relevant medical and behavioural information.
- I understand the potential risks associated with grooming.
- I consent to the grooming services being performed on my pet.
- I authorise the groomer to make reasonable decisions regarding the grooming process where necessary for my pet's safety.
- I understand that grooming cannot be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
I have read, understood, and agree to the Mobile Pet Grooming Terms & Conditions and give my
consent for my pet to receive the requested grooming service.
